Mars Hill College – Ferguson Math & Science Center

Located in Mars Hill, NC, this project included 43,200 square feet of new construction, and 36,000 square feet of renovation to the entire connecting 4 story building known as Wall Science Building. This $13M facility included 3 floors of laboratories, general classrooms, office spaces, a new lecture hall, student lounge and study areas, a 2 story atrium space, and a greenhouse located on the upper floor. The renovated Wall Science Building included complete new mechanical, electrical, and fire protection systems. This facility utilizes a geothermal mechanical system. Lab specific plumbing systems include compressed air, vacuum, and chemical waste drainage systems. ESG designed the mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection systems for this facility.
